If an Asana practice is the big bang…..the sound of yoga creates, The Subtle HUM. What is Sanskrit and why might a student of yoga asana wish to develop a relationship to sound? Yoga students will be introduced to the sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet and the path of sound as light, sound as an entry point to inner awareness. First by looking at how Sanskrit, the language of yoga relates with the principles of yoga and meditation and Self. Key points covered: vowel sounds as the spiritual aspect of the language and the consonants as the manifest.
